EPIC phase two: the pool starts paying
The transfer path went live this morning: every hour the pool sends any balance past 0.1 EPIC at the usual 1% fee, once a block's coinbase has cleared 1440 confirmations — about a day behind the block itself. A dry run ran first with nothing to send, so the first real txid should surface in the Payments tab as soon as the first block matures.

CoinGecko quotes EPIC at $0.50 this morning — up 9.6% in seven days and 53.3% in thirty — over 19.276M coins in circulation. The page now files the ticker under its rebranded name, Epic Private Internet Cash, and the price is still 92.6% below the $6.72 record.

hashrate.no's ProgPow page reads 9.87 Gh/s of network work and 592.41 G of difficulty today, with one-EPIC blocks every 120 seconds summing to 720 coins of daily emission. The site's movers table puts the yield at 0.0710 EPIC per megahash, up 26.86%, and 24-hour chain volume came in at $34,785.

Port 33339 went live with a tested miner table behind it: the official epic-miner CPU and OpenCL builds both submit accepted shares, XMRig-Epic drops the connection because it waits for a reshaped job, and SRBMiner ships no Epic algorithm at all. Payouts are still phase one — shares, blocks and balances count in real time while the transfer path is finished.
source →Node v4.0.4, three pull requests of housekeeping
The September tag modernised the Windows CI workflows after the runner image moved, repaired a stale badge URL and bumped the version to 4.0.4, with two binaries attached. The notes list no protocol changes — a maintenance release, which is what a node operator wants to see.
source →Every coin was mined, not allocated
Mining began in September 2019 from zero supply: no premine, no ICO, no venture slice, no admin key. Seven years on, roughly 19.28M of the 21M cap exist and every one of them passed through somebody's hardware.
source →Four wallets and a daily bootstrap
Epic Pay keeps the keys on iOS or Android, the GUI wallet bundles a node for macOS, Windows and Linux, the CLI wallet covers servers, and a daily bootstrap file gets a fresh node synced without replaying the whole history.
