Quantus (QTC): the token, in plain words

money whose signatures survive the quantum era

What is QTC?

21,000,000 QTC — nobody mints extraHard cap
proof of work only, mainnet operational since 9 Sep 2026Issuance
ML-DSA (Dilithium-5), ratified as NIST FIPS 204Cryptography
up to 430 transfers per second via recursive STARKsThroughput
mobile wallets on iOS and Android, desktop build tooHolding

Why miners and holders like it

Today's giants age badly: ECDSA and Ed25519 keys fall once quantum machines mature, while Dilithium signatures are built to outlive that milestone — QTC simply starts on the winning side.
Every coin is mined, not allocated: the distribution curve rewards people who burn electricity, which is a fairer starting gun than private rounds.
Proofs do the heavy lifting. Recursive STARKs push scaling work off the base layer without asking anyone to trust a setup ceremony.
Pocket access from day one — the wallet shipped to both app stores while the chain was still in its first month.
A team that publishes on schedule: weekly engineering reports have kept landing since mainnet week one.

Security fixes merged, ML-DSA-65 joins the client

All Immunefi audit-competition fixes are in the public repositories, the chain now signs with ML-DSA-65 as well as ML-DSA-87, and every signature is bound to its signing context per FIPS 204. The same week shipped CLI v2.1.3 and miner v4.0.2, with separate optimized kernels for Apple Metal and Nvidia.

Week one in the rear-view mirror

Fifty-three thousand blocks stood between launch day and the first Quantus wrap-up. The team broke down mining participation, wallet installs and proof-of-work stats from that opening stretch, and sketched where QTC gains a trading pair next.

Twenty-four terahash and still accelerating

Three weeks in, the network hashes at 24 TH/s with difficulty clearing 300T. The same update opened an airdrop for testnet miners inside the phone app, running until 1 December.

On the show: counting down to Q-Day

Postquant Labs chief Colton Dillion sat down for the project's Q-Day podcast to argue why holders of legacy coins should care about migration deadlines before the clock runs out.

QTC arrives on NEAR

NEAR Protocol announced QTC as the first post-quantum asset on its chain, with swaps routed across more than 30 chains and over 180 assets. For holders that is a second exit besides the SafeTrade book, which until now was the only market.

Four aggregators, one click: QTC goes visible

MiningPoolStats, minerstat, hashrate.no and WhatToMine all began showing Quantus pool data this week, so profitability comparisons no longer require manual math.

Copy-paste mining: our QTC guides go live

pool.ion.cool published bilingual setup pages with ready-made SRBMiner lines, a HiveOS import file, port tables and the payout fine print spelled out.

Quantum & Privacy Day is on 8 October

The project runs it with NEAR Protocol in Singapore during Token2049 week, two days from now. The announcement sat in the 8 September weekly, the day before mainnet produced its first block.

Check your exposure with the Q-Day meter

A calculator now sits on the project homepage: pick a chain, learn how many logical qubits an attacker would need, and see why Dilithium-5 keeps appearing in QTC's marketing.

The wallet lands in both app stores

iOS and Android users can hold QTC without touching a command line — a small thing that separates hobby chains from currencies people actually carry.

Bridging in from other chains, without bridges

The roadmap teases deposits sourced through NEAR intents: move value in from almost anywhere, labelled live 'soon' on the site.

Two new reference sites for builders

Documentation and research portals opened together, giving anyone auditing the cryptography a single trail from whitepaper to implementation.

A quiet milestone: 247 machines mining

The explorer's counter passed two hundred and forty-seven active miners — small enough that joining today still noticeably moves pool share.

A community tape for SafeTrade volume

quantus.watch plots QTC turnover bar by UTC day and rebuilds hourly, with its method published next to the chart. It also counts QTC reaching SafeTrade straight from encrypted accounts — 2,226 coins since genesis — and says plainly that a deposit is not a sale.

Price data with the right labels

CoinGecko tags QTC as Layer 1, proof of work and quantum-resistant, links the explorer and GitHub, and lists SafeTrade QTC/USDT as the only market. Daily volume there runs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars; max supply shows as 21M.
