How to Mine Qwertycoin (QWC) — randomx CPU Guide (XMRig)
A step-by-step guide to mining Qwertycoin on the pool.ion.cool pool: the exact XMRig command for RandomX, autostart with systemd, the stratum port and how payouts work. No accounts and no sign-ups — your wallet address is your identity on the pool.
What you need
- A modern CPU —
randomx(RandomX) is a CPU algorithm: every core of your processor can work - XMRig — official builds for Windows, Linux and macOS, GitHub releases
- Your QWC wallet address — see step 1
- Nothing else: the pool has no accounts, logins or email confirmation
1. Get your QWC wallet
- Official wallet: Qwertycoin wallet
- Explorer (to check payments):
- Wallets:
qwertycoin-wallet-cliandqwertycoin-wallet-rpcfrom the official v2 releases - Qwertycoin v2 addresses look like
QWC1…(the old chain's addresses do not work)
Use your own wallet address, not an exchange deposit address, unless the exchange explicitly says it supports pool payouts to QWC.
2. Install XMRig
- Grab
xmrig-*-windows.ziporxmrig-*-linux-x64.tar.gzfrom the GitHub releases page - Official builds exist for Windows, Linux and macOS — nothing to compile
- On Linux, enabling huge pages (
--huge-pages) gives a solid hashrate boost
3. Create the mining command
mine-QWC.bat next to the minerxmrig.exe -o pool.ion.cool:33338 -u <YOUR_QWC_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x
./xmrig -o pool.ion.cool:33338 -u <YOUR_QWC_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x
- Replace
<YOUR_QWC_ADDRESS>with your real address andRIG1with your rig name - Wallet format:
ADDRESSorADDRESS.rigname— everything after the dot is the worker name - XMRig reads the algorithm (
rx/0) and the difficulty straight from the pool job — no extra flags to pass - Several rigs: same address, different rig names (
ADDRESS.rig1,ADDRESS.rig2, …)
Miners: what was tested against this pool
| Miner | Algorithm | Result on this pool |
|---|---|---|
| XMRig, official release CPU, Windows, Linux, macOS |
rx/0 |
Works — tested. A two-minute run produced 29 accepted shares and the pool's counter moved by exactly 29 — miner log and pool agreed share for share, with nothing rejected |
- Passing nothing but the pool, the port and your address is enough: XMRig picks
rx/0and the difficulty straight out of the job, so there is no algorithm flag to get wrong - Huge pages —
--huge-pageson Linux, an elevated prompt on Windows — are worth enabling: RandomX rewards them with a visible hashrate jump
4. Pool ports
| Server | Port | Protocol | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| pool.ion.cool | 33338 | stratum | 5000 |
- Port 33338 — plain stratum, the recommended default
- The address bar of this page is always the server:
pool.ion.cool
5. Autostart with systemd
XMRig runs on every desktop OS, but to keep it alive across reboots on a Linux rig create
/etc/systemd/system/xmrig.service:
[Unit] Description=XMRig (QWC) After=network-online.target [Service] WorkingDirectory=/opt/xmrig ExecStart=/opt/xmrig/xmrig -o pool.ion.cool:33338 -u <YOUR_QWC_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x Restart=always [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
sudo systemctl daemon-reload && sudo systemctl enable --now xmrig
HiveOS users: pick Custom miner with the official XMRig archive; on
Windows keep the mine-QWC.bat from step 3 in the startup folder.
6. Track your statistics
- Dashboard: https://pool.ion.cool/qwc/ — paste your wallet into My Stats to see your hashrate, shares and rounds
- Miners table on the dashboard shows every rig live, with per-hour hashrate and pool share
- Payments tab lists every payout with its transaction ID
- Public API: https://pool.ion.cool/api/pools (miningcore-compatible JSON: hashrate, connected miners, blocks, payments)
How payouts work
- Scheme: PROP — your reward is proportional to your valid shares in each round
- Cycle: the pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches
1 QWC - Fee: 1% — taken from the block rewards (reward recipients), never from your balance
- Blocks: under PROP you are paid from the blocks the pool finds; until the first block is found, balances only accumulate
- Every payment is visible in the Payments tab and in the block explorer
Why this pool
| pool.ion.cool | Solo mining (your own node) | |
|---|---|---|
| Pool fee | 1% | 0% — but you only ever win what your own CPU finds |
| Payout schedule | every hour (PROP) | none — rewards stay in the node wallet until you move them |
| Minimum payout | 1 QWC | — |
| Statistics | live per-rig hashrate, shares and blocks | whatever your node logs |
| Account to start | none — mine straight to your wallet | none |
Heads-up: Qwertycoin v2 is a fresh chain — legacy QWC pools still serve the OLD network and will not credit v2 coins. This pool runs against the current mainnet.
- One dashboard for every coin on this pool: Quantus, Pearl, Core, Qwertycoin, Epic Cash, PCoin, Block Zero & Orange — mine them in the same place (see also Quantus)
- Live per-rig statistics, share charts and a public API — no login required
- Hourly payouts, PROP, no registration and no minimum account balance
FAQ
Do I need an account to mine here?
No. Point your miner at pool.ion.cool:33338 with your wallet address
and the dashboard will find you by that address. There is no registration, login or email confirmation.
When will I be paid?
The pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches 1 QWC.
The reward scheme is PROP: payouts come from the blocks the pool finds, so if the pool has not found a
block yet, balances accumulate and the payouts start right after the first one.
Which miner should I use?
XMRig is the tested choice: it is the reference RandomX miner, it detects the
rx/0 job straight from this pool, and it runs on Windows, Linux and macOS.
Can I mine from several rigs with one address?
Yes. Use the same address for every rig and give each a unique suffix after the dot:
ADDRESS.rig1, ADDRESS.rig2. Each rig gets its own
row in the Miners table.
Is there an encrypted (TLS) connection?
The QWC pool currently exposes plain stratum on port 33338 only — that is the port to use. TLS support may be added later; watch this page.
Where do I see my hashrate and payments?
On the dashboard: My Stats for your wallet, the Miners table for each rig, and the Payments tab for payout transactions. Machines can also poll the public API.
