How to Mine Orange (OAG) — rx/oag GPU Guide
A step-by-step guide to mining Orange on the pool.ion.cool pool: the exact SRBMiner-MULTI command, a ready-made HiveOS Flight Sheet, stratum ports and how payouts work. No accounts and no sign-ups — your wallet address is your identity on the pool.
What you need
- An NVIDIA or AMD GPU —
rx/oagis a GPU algorithm - SRBMiner-MULTI 3.7.3 or newer — Windows and Linux builds, srbminer.com · GitHub releases
- Your OAG wallet address — see step 1
- Nothing else: the pool has no accounts, logins or email confirmation
1. Get your OAG wallet
- Official wallet: Orange wallet
- Explorer (to check payments): https://explorer.oagcoin.org
- Exchanges: Coinex and SafeTrade list PRL
- Pearl addresses look like
prl1…
Use your own wallet address, not an exchange deposit address, unless the exchange explicitly says it supports pool payouts to OAG.
2. Install XMRig-OAG
- Stock XMRig does not know
rx/oag— it would write its nonce at offset 39 of the header and read the hit rule the Monero way, so no share would ever check out. Use the project's own build, xmrig-for-oag v6.26.0-oag.1, from the xmrig-for-oag releases page (not the Orange releases page — that one carries the node and wallet, no miner) - Windows: the
*-windows.ziparchive; Linux:*-linux.tar.gz— unpack andchmod +x xmrig - On Linux,
--huge-pagesgives RandomX a solid boost (the pool's own unit uses it); on Windows run the miner as Administrator for the same reason
3. Create the mining command
mine-OAG.bat next to the minerxmrig.exe -a rx/oag -o pool.ion.cool:33344 -u <YOUR_OAG_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x
./xmrig -a rx/oag -o pool.ion.cool:33344 -u <YOUR_OAG_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x --huge-pages
- Replace
<YOUR_OAG_ADDRESS>with your realoag1…address andRIG1with your rig name - Wallet format:
oag1ADDRESSoroag1ADDRESS.rigname— everything after the dot is the worker name -a rx/oagis mandatory: Orange's variant hashes the whole 100-byte block header with the nonce at offset 92 and reads the hit rule big-endian from the first eight bytes of the digest — a build without the algorithm gets both wrong and never produces a valid share- The password field (
-p x) is ignored by the pool — any value works - Several rigs: same address, different rig names (
oag1ADDR.rig1,oag1ADDR.rig2, …)
Miners: what was tested against this pool
| Miner | Algorithm | Result on this pool |
|---|---|---|
| Orange's xmrig-for-oag build CPU, Windows and Linux |
rx/oag |
Works — tested. A two-minute CPU run produced 1 accepted share with nothing rejected. The window was deliberately short and Orange's difficulty sits high for CPU mining, so a single share is what that looks like — a short test, not a weak result |
-a rx/oagis not optional: Orange hashes a 100-byte header with the nonce at offset 92 and reads the hit rule big-endian, so a build without the algorithm gets both wrong and never produces a valid share- Enable huge pages — the pool's own test unit runs with them, and RandomX pays for the trouble
4. Pool ports
| Server | Port | Protocol | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| pool.ion.cool | 33344 | stratum | 20000 |
- Port 33344 — plain stratum, the recommended default
- The address bar of this page is always the server:
pool.ion.cool
5. Autostart with systemd
The project's own XMRig build runs on Windows, Linux and macOS. To keep a Linux rig mining across
reboots, create /etc/systemd/system/xmrig-oag.service:
[Unit] Description=XMRig rx/oag (OAG) After=network-online.target [Service] WorkingDirectory=/opt/xmrig-oag ExecStart=/opt/xmrig-oag/xmrig -a rx/oag -o pool.ion.cool:33344 -u <YOUR_OAG_ADDRESS>.RIG1 -p x --huge-pages Restart=always [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
sudo systemctl daemon-reload && sudo systemctl enable --now xmrig-oag
HiveOS: point a Custom miner at the
xmrig-oag-*-linux-static-x64.tar.gz archive from the
xmrig-for-oag releases
with algorithm rx/oag — the SRBMiner HiveOS archive carries no
rx/oag at all, so a Flight Sheet aimed at it connects and mines nothing.
On Windows keep mine-OAG.bat from step 3 in the startup folder.
6. Track your statistics
- Dashboard: https://pool.ion.cool/oag/ — paste your wallet into My Stats to see your hashrate, shares and rounds
- Miners table on the dashboard shows every rig live, with per-hour hashrate and pool share
- Payments tab lists every payout with its transaction ID
- Public API: https://pool.ion.cool/api/pools (miningcore-compatible JSON: hashrate, connected miners, blocks, payments)
How payouts work
- Scheme: PROP — your reward is proportional to your valid shares in each round
- Cycle: the pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches
1 OAG - Fee: 1% — taken from the block rewards (reward recipients), never from your balance
- Blocks: under PROP you are paid from the blocks the pool finds; until the first block is found, balances only accumulate
- Every payment is visible in the Payments tab and in the block explorer

- Hourly payouts, PROP, no registration and no minimum account balance
FAQ
Do I need an account to mine here?
No. Point your miner at pool.ion.cool:33344 with your wallet address
and the dashboard will find you by that address. There is no registration, login or email confirmation.
When will I be paid?
The pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches 1 OAG.
The reward scheme is PROP: payouts come from the blocks the pool finds, so if the pool has not found a
block yet, balances accumulate and the payouts start right after the first one.
Which miner should I use?
Orange's xmrig-for-oag build (rx/oag) is the tested option on
this pool. Stock SRBMiner-MULTI carries no rx/oag at all, and stock XMRig
would place the nonce at the wrong offset, so neither of them can produce a share here however
you flag them. The run behind that claim sits in
the miners table above.
Can I mine from several rigs with one address?
Yes. Use the same address for every rig and give each a unique suffix after the dot:
ADDRESS.rig1, ADDRESS.rig2. Each rig gets its own
row in the Miners table.
Is there an encrypted (TLS) connection?
The Orange pool currently exposes plain stratum on port 33344 only — that is the port to use. TLS support may be added later; watch this page.
Where do I see my hashrate and payments?
On the dashboard: My Stats for your wallet, the Miners table for each rig, and the Payments tab for payout transactions. Machines can also poll the public API.
