How to Mine Quantus (QTC) — quantus GPU Guide
A step-by-step guide to mining Quantus on the pool.ion.cool pool: the exact SRBMiner-MULTI command, a ready-made HiveOS Flight Sheet, stratum ports and how payouts work. No accounts and no sign-ups — your wallet address is your identity on the pool.
What you need
- An NVIDIA or AMD GPU —
quantusis a GPU algorithm - SRBMiner-MULTI 3.7.3 or newer — Windows and Linux builds, srbminer.com · GitHub releases
- Your QTC wallet address — see step 1
- Nothing else: the pool has no accounts, logins or email confirmation
1. Get your QTC wallet
- Official wallet: Quantus wallet
- Explorer (to check payments): https://explorer.quantus.com
- Exchanges: BigONE and SafeTrade list QTC
- Quantus addresses look like
qz…
Use your own wallet address, not an exchange deposit address, unless the exchange explicitly says it supports pool payouts to QTC.
2. Install SRBMiner-MULTI 3.7.3
- Windows: download
SRBMiner-Multi-*-win64.zipfrom the GitHub releases page and unpack it — note the version dots are dashes in the file name (3.7.3→3-7-3) - Linux:
SRBMiner-Multi-*-Linux.tar.gzfrom the same page - Drivers: current NVIDIA or AMD drivers are enough — no CUDA toolkit needed
3. Create the mining command
mine-QTC.bat next to the minerSRBMiner-MULTI.exe --algorithm quantus --pool pool.ion.cool:33334 --wallet <YOUR_QTC_ADDRESS>.RIG1
./SRBMiner-MULTI --algorithm quantus --pool pool.ion.cool:33334 --wallet <YOUR_QTC_ADDRESS>.RIG1
- Replace
<YOUR_QTC_ADDRESS>with your real address andRIG1with your rig name - Wallet format:
ADDRESSorADDRESS.rigname— everything after the dot is the worker name - Always use
--algorithm(not--algo): SRBMiner does not recognise--algoand exits with “You defined more pools than algorithms” - Several rigs: same address, different rig names (
ADDRESS.rig1,ADDRESS.rig2, …)
Miners: what was tested against this pool
| Miner | Algorithm | Result on this pool |
|---|---|---|
| SRBMiner-MULTI 3.7.3 GPU, Windows and Linux |
quantus |
Works — tested. This is the miner driving this pool's own rig: an RTX 5060
laptop GPU sat on pool.ion.cool:33334 for an hour and moved
the pool's counter by 4050 accepted shares, with nothing rejected |
- The number belongs to the pool, not to the miner. Every figure on this page is the
change in the pool's own
validSharescounter across a timed run — a miner cheerfully printing "accepted" while the pool throws the share away is precisely the failure this method is built to expose - Quantus pushes the work onto the card and keeps the CPU on pool duty, so a CPU-only rig connects without complaint but hashes far slower than the same budget spent on a GPU
4. Pool ports
| Server | Port | Protocol | Difficulty |
|---|---|---|---|
| pool.ion.cool | 3333 | quic + TLS | 100000000 |
| pool.ion.cool | 33334 | stratum | 100000000 |
| pool.ion.cool | 33335 | stratum + TLS | 100000000 |
- Port 33334 — plain stratum, the recommended default
- Port 33335 — the same stratum over TLS, for miners that need an encrypted connection
- The address bar of this page is always the server:
pool.ion.cool
5. HiveOS Flight Sheet
HiveOS has no built-in preset for QTC, so this Flight Sheet uses a Custom miner with the SRBMiner author's HiveOS build. Import it: Flight Sheets → Import from Clipboard (paste the JSON below), pick your wallet and apply.

6. Track your statistics
- Dashboard: https://pool.ion.cool/quantus/ — paste your wallet into My Stats to see your hashrate, shares and rounds
- Miners table on the dashboard shows every rig live, with per-hour hashrate and pool share
- Payments tab lists every payout with its transaction ID
- Public API: https://pool.ion.cool/api/pools (miningcore-compatible JSON: hashrate, connected miners, blocks, payments)
How payouts work
- Scheme: PROP — your reward is proportional to your valid shares in each round
- Cycle: the pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches
0.01 QTC - Fee: 1% — taken from the block rewards (reward recipients), never from your balance
- Blocks: under PROP you are paid from the blocks the pool finds; until the first block is found, balances only accumulate
- Every payment is visible in the Payments tab and in the block explorer

- One dashboard for every coin on this pool: Quantus, Pearl, Core, Qwertycoin, Epic Cash, PCoin, Block Zero, Orange, Parallax & XDAG — mine them in the same place (see also Pearl)
- Live per-rig statistics, share charts and a public API — no login required
- Hourly payouts, PROP, no registration and no minimum account balance
FAQ
Do I need an account to mine here?
No. Point your miner at pool.ion.cool:33334 with your wallet address
and the dashboard will find you by that address. There is no registration, login or email confirmation.
When will I be paid?
The pool pays out every hour once your balance reaches 0.01 QTC.
The reward scheme is PROP: payouts come from the blocks the pool finds, so if the pool has not found a
block yet, balances accumulate and the payouts start right after the first one.
Which miner should I use?
SRBMiner-MULTI 3.7.3+ with --algorithm quantus is the tested
option on this pool, and anything else that understands quantus over plain stratum is welcome
too. The run behind that recommendation is recorded in
the miners table above.
Can I mine from several rigs with one address?
Yes. Use the same address for every rig and give each a unique suffix after the dot:
ADDRESS.rig1, ADDRESS.rig2. Each rig gets its own
row in the Miners table.
Is there an encrypted (TLS) connection?
Yes — port 33335 carries the same stratum over TLS; port 33334 is plain stratum and is the recommended default. Port 3333 is QUIC, used by the Quantus node's external-miner endpoint.
Where do I see my hashrate and payments?
On the dashboard: My Stats for your wallet, the Miners table for each rig, and the Payments tab for payout transactions. Machines can also poll the public API.
